The PetiFit mobile application is developed and provided by PetiFit Sp. z o.o. (“PetiFit”, “we”, “us”). The features of the Application may be developed, changed or temporarily limited.

Depending on the version of the Application, operating system, device and User location, PetiFit may offer, among other things:

Individual features may be added, changed or discontinued as PetiFit continues to develop.

6. Location and Discovery

Some PetiFit features require access to the precise location of the device. Location access is enabled after the User grants the appropriate permission.

Precise location may be used, among other things, to:

The User’s precise location is not automatically shared with other users.

Within the standard Discovery feature, PetiFit does not show the exact position of the User’s device to other users. Location and distance information is limited so that it does not indicate a distance of less than 5 km.

Location data is accessed while the User is using the Application and features that require location access.

The User may withdraw location access at any time in the settings of their device. This may limit or disable certain PetiFit features.

7. Walk tracking and route sharing

The User may activate the walk tracking feature. While this feature is active, PetiFit may record, among other things:

A recorded route is available by default to its owner and to authorised PetiFit administrators to the extent necessary for Application operation, security and technical support.

A route is not automatically shared with other users. Other users may access it only when the owner chooses to share it.

The User should be aware that sharing a route may allow other persons to infer places where the User spends time, such as the start or end point of a walk.

8. Profiles, photos and User Content

A Pet Profile and the photos added to it may be visible to other PetiFit users.

By uploading photos or other User Content, the User confirms that they have the right to use and publish such content within the Application.

The User must not publish content that infringes the rights of third parties, including privacy rights, image rights, copyright or other intellectual property rights.

The User grants PetiFit a non-exclusive and royalty-free right to technically store, process and display User Content to the extent necessary to provide PetiFit services. This does not constitute a transfer of copyright to PetiFit.

9. Matches, connections and chat

PetiFit allows Users to connect with other users, including through Matches, connections and chat.

The User agrees to use these features in accordance with applicable law and with respect for other persons.

The following are prohibited in particular:

10. Community rules and prohibited content

PetiFit is intended to support safe connections between pet owners and carers.

It is prohibited to publish or transmit content within the Application that:

It is also prohibited to use automated accounts, bots or other mechanisms designed to artificially manipulate the operation of the Application without PetiFit’s consent.

11. Moderation

In the event of a breach of these Terms or applicable law, PetiFit may, depending on the nature and severity of the violation:

When making such decisions, PetiFit may take into account, in particular, the nature of the violation, its consequences, whether it is repeated and the risk posed to other users or to the security of the Application.

Where required by applicable law, the User will be informed about the restriction imposed, the reasons for it and the available means of challenging the decision.

12. Family Sharing

Where the Family Sharing feature is available, the User may invite other persons to access information relating to their pet.

The User should grant such access only to persons they trust and with whom they intend to share the information available through this feature.

The scope of data available to invited persons depends on the current operation of the feature and the Application settings.

13. Health-related and AI features

Certain Application features may allow Users to record information relating to a pet’s health, nutrition or activity and may use artificial intelligence or OCR.

These features are supportive and informational only. They do not constitute a diagnosis, veterinary advice or treatment recommendation.

Automatically generated results may contain errors. The User should verify information obtained through scanning, OCR or AI before taking any action based on it, particularly in relation to medication, dosage or treatment.

If there are any concerns regarding a pet’s health, the User should consult a veterinarian.

14. Device permissions and third-party services

Depending on the features used, the Application may require access to:

The User may manage permissions in the settings of their device. Withdrawing a specific permission may prevent use of a feature that requires that permission.

PetiFit may use third-party technology services, including map, authentication, notification, hosting or AI providers.

15. Safety of meetings and interactions

PetiFit helps Users find other pets and their owners or carers, but is not a party to meetings arranged between Users and does not control the behaviour of Users or animals during such meetings.

The User independently decides whether to contact or meet another User.

Before meeting, the User should take into account the temperament, size, health and behaviour of the animals and choose an appropriate and safe location.

Information regarding a pet’s temperament, energy level, sociability, size or behaviour is generally provided by its owner or carer, and PetiFit cannot guarantee that such information is fully accurate.

16. Availability of the Application

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that PetiFit operates correctly and remains available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to all features.

The Application may be temporarily unavailable due to, among other things:

Where reasonably possible, significant planned interruptions may be communicated to Users.

17. Fees and future paid features

PetiFit may currently be provided free of charge.

In the future, PetiFit may introduce optional paid features, premium plans or subscriptions.

The introduction of paid features will not automatically result in any charges being imposed on existing Users.

Before making a payment, the User will be informed of the price, scope of the paid service, its duration and any other required terms.

Mobile payments may be processed through the App Store or Google Play in accordance with the rules of the relevant store.

These Terms do not limit any statutory consumer rights.

Users may report profiles, messages, photos or other content which they believe violates these Terms or applicable law.

A report concerning potentially illegal content should, where possible, include:

Reports are reviewed without undue delay, taking into account the nature of the content, potential harm and the urgency of the matter.

Detailed information regarding the processing of personal data, precise location, recorded routes, photos, messages and other data is available in the PetiFit Privacy Policy .

Questions, comments and complaints regarding PetiFit may be sent to: contact@petifit.com.

A complaint should, where possible, contain information allowing the User to be identified and a description of the issue.

We respond to complaints within 14 days of receiving them, unless mandatory applicable law provides for a different period.

Users who are consumers retain all rights available to them under applicable law, including laws governing digital services.

22. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated, in particular, in the event of:
